It Was A Hoot

Here are some images from an owl and storybook baby shower .

We created an invitation to look like a storybook.

Simple floral centerpieces and hand-dyed apricot and aqua pom-poms.
Favors for the party were sugar cookie.  Onsies, duckies, teddy bear, buggies, & owls.
The menu and the spread.
Some of the decor included a banner of bibs and onsies.
The owl cake for dessert was a mixture of fondant and icing.

Brave Vs. Power Rangers

How do you make a cake for a girl who wants a Brave them and a boy who wants a Power Rangers theme?  This is how...

We designed half of the cake as Brave and The other half as Power Rangers.  The birthday boy and girl sat opposite on their respective sides of the cake.  Each blew out the candles at the same time.

Glad To Be A Grad!

Here is a graduation cake we did that celebrates, not only what the graduate had done, but where he is going.  We created a graduation cap that replicated the one he wore from his high school graduation.  We recreated a prestigious award he had won and added some words of encouragement.  Finally, we created an argyle pattern on the sides of the cake (which had significance to the graduate and his friends).  The argyle was made of colors that represent the college he will be attending in the fall.

We've Got Ears, Say Cheers

This is a birthday celebration with a Mickey Mouse theme.

The cake and the invitation.  The text on the invite was in Disney font.

Treats, favours, and decorations for the party.  Treats were hand dipped oreos, the favours were Mickey ears and chocolate cupcakes to take home.  The decor was simple with banners, balloons, and pom pons.

Did Someone Say Hockey?

Here is a cake we made for a 3 year old's hockey themed birthday party.

The hockey goals were made from red licorice and royal icing.
