Red, White, & BBQ

Looking for something different to bring to the 4th of July BBQ you were invited to?  Here are a couple of options created for such an occasion.  There are two different platters of cookies to share at the BBQ and an option to take a cookie arrangement as a gift for the host of the BBQ.

Beachy Birthday

A beach themed cake for a 14 year old's pool party.  I created a beach towel and umbrella out of fondant and set them on edible sand (brown sugar).

Lego My...

A 10" square Lego birthday cake for a boy who is turning 5.  The cake is covered in fondant and the small Legos are solid fondant.  The studs on the cake are mini powdered donuts covered with fondant.

A Sweet Thank You

This is part of a gift for clients of a Realtor closing on a new home.  The owners purchased a home with history, so a basket with character was selected for them to reuse when they entertain and enjoy their new space.  The cookie pops had a spring/summer theme and the Realtor selected a children's book, adding a lovely note inside.  A sweet way to express appreciation.

Schools Out For Summer

Here is an end of the year gift for a teacher.  A cute mason jar glass with straw, lemonade & drink packets, lip balm, & some summery cookies.

Game Night

Here are cupcakes I did for a hostess of an LRC (Left, Right, Center) game night.  She requested carrot cupcakes with the dice on top.  I added the chips for some color.

Harry Potter, Ducks, Reading, or Running? Why Pick One?

This cake was created for a girl's 17th birthday.  Her interests included Harry Potter, ducks, reading, and running.  Why pick one?  We decided to divide the cake into quadrants and use each interest as it's own theme.  I selected one color scheme to tie all four themes together.

Happy Trails To You...

This cake was created for a going away party.  The couple is moving to Oregon from Illinois and the love the outdoors.

Easter Basket Treats

These 3-D Easter egg cookies make a great addition to any Easter basket.  Break them open for an extra surprise.

Witchy Woman

This cake was created for a woman turning 21 that enjoys American Horror Story Coven and has always liked creepy trees.  Depth was created by hand painting trees in different shades of black and then more dimension was added by creating trees out of fondant.  The witch hat was solid fondant.  There is also a picture of the building I used as a reference for the one that is hand painted on the cake.

A Simple & Sweet Birthday Cake

A classic birthday cake.  This was created for someone's coworker, a special treat for a special day.

Farewell Floral Cake

This farewell cake was created for a workplace bon voyage.  We created an elegant look by using fresh hydrangea flowers and cascading them down the sides of the cake.  The leaf and vine detail were added with icing.
